Catie began her yoga practice hoping to find a gentler way to maintain strength and flexibility when her body began rejecting her usual soccer and running regimen. Catie was drawn to the individual experience of the asana practice while sharing in the benefits of a yoga community. With the intention of deepening her personal practice, Catie completed her 200-hour teacher training with Ursula Cox. Catie ultimately gravitated to Rocket yoga, receiving training from David C. Kyle and Steve Pyka (50 hours practice immersion each). Practicing Rocket has also led Catie to dive deeper into the method of practice taught in Ashtanga yoga.
The complexities of the yoga practice hidden in each movement and breath keep Catie coming back to her mat. Catie strives to guide students to their own experience, but always encouraging to find a new challenge.
